Vitalic - See the Sea (Red)
Finding a hook is always the hardest part, so please bear with me at least until the end of this sentence. The concept is simple: football (soccer, foot, calcio, Fussball, futebol so on so forth) is everything. The result will most likely be more complicated: game reports, topic discussions, player grades, polemics, beautiful goals, unfamous picutres, underground mouvements and players, portraits, gossip, WAGs, guest appearances, referendums, votes, and more discussions, everything accompanied by a song for each entry. My name is Luca, I support Inter, welcome.
To get a sample of what is to come, let us start by looking at who has been all over the news recently: John Terry. After having a coke-dealing father and a shoplifting mother, it turns out Slippety-Slip John (the blog will hopefully be full of these murderous remarks/nicknames, but let's not laugh too hard, who has never miserably failed a penalty kick?), well turns out England's "Father of the Year 2009" was having a rather good time with Vanessa Perroncel, wife of former team mate Wayne Bridge, behind his own wife's back. Well then, surprised? Should he loose his England captain armband? Let alone his Chelsea one too? Should he even be selected anymore? How could he do that to his kids Georgie, Summer and to his wife Toni Poole Terry? And how about poor Wayne? Well no one really cares about him, but it is disconcerting to see that John, who, despite his characteristical roughness, has always been very professional on the field could loose it all because of another tabloid story. I don't think taking aways his responsabilities on the field will resolve anything, if he continues to play well it should not be a problem to keep him on the squad. Sure he won't make many friends -maybe even amongst his teammates?- but the field and private life are indeed two different fields (...sorry, I will ony allow myself a couple of these to make your reading more bearable). Let us also keep in mind that this is a World Cup year and that England might look in shape to finally conquer a second world title. Rooney is ravaging defenses, Rio is coming back, Lampard is always on top of his game, Gerrard will pull through (we all know him) and with terrible goalkeepers can Capello really not call him up? I do not think so, and I also trust Capello to know exactly what to do to get the best out of his team. What do you think?
That's for today and for Terry, but there are many other topics that could be discussed: the French fans always becoming more violent with the police and even their own players; Joan Laporta becoming more and more egalomaniac whilst Manuel Pelligrini seems destined to leave Real's bench after this year; Jesus Navas flying down his right flank past all the best defences yet scared to leave the country; Mancini's transfer to Milan; Mourinho's recent confrontation with Balotelli, Wenger's endless search for youth perfection, Bayern's Ribery-less form; and many, many, many others.
If you feel you have anything to say please post it in the comments section. Please restrain from any oblivious/denigrating/vulgar comments, I will not hesitate to delete those unsuitable for a productive discussion.
Thank you for reading and keep loving football.
PS: I have just read that Milan's doctors have suggested their new signing Mancini to lose 3 kilograms. I think they made a mistake and that it was another one of Milan's brazilians who should lose a couple of kilograms (clue: it starts with R and end with onaldinho)

you forgot "FUCHEBOLLLE"!! lol
john terry is a disgrace. but yeah. clearly hes good at scoring away from home (OHHHHH) so perhaps he will be an asset to the world cup squad.
i think this is going to be an interesting world cup. cant believe its here again. so luca, do u think the azzuri can pull something off again? another round of po-po-po-po-po-poooooo-po? or will it be like a prashant and emaad FIFA tournament with no purpose? only time will tell mate
yo btw, props for putting collina in the pic! HAHA hes the man
Haha I wish i could say that Italy will win for sure a second title, although the choice of the heart isn't always the right one, and the days where the same nation won the world cup consecutively are revolved. It's too soon to tell, but I would bet for the usual: Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, the usual ordeal. Let's just hope no "surprises" will happen like in Korea 2002!
